Meg Ryan – a short and simple name, right? Wrong because the original name is quite long and goes like Margaret Mary Emily Hyra. Just like her name, Meg has got a good long career graph in films. Meg is a hollywood actress who is known for her lead roles in the movies like When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle, You've got mail etc. All these movies of her did a wonderful business in the world of cinema. Meg Ryan is the daughter of Susan Hyra Jordan who is a former actress, casting director and an English teacher and Harry Hyra, a math teacher. Meg was born on November 19, 1961 in Connecticut. When Meg was 18 years old, her mother helped her to get first commercial which involved the chin-ups and giggling to promote the Tickle deodorant.

The first full- blown hit of Meg was “ When Harry Met Sally” which was a romantic comedy. In that movie she worked with the known Hollywood actor Billy Crystal. Winslet married with the director Jim Threapleton, from that relation they have daughter Mia Honey born on 12 October, 2000. They got divorced and she married with Sam Mendes in 2003.
