Jodie Foster

Many of you must be unknown by the fact that Jodie Foster has got another name also called Alicia Christian Foster. Jodie is a popularly hit hollywood actress and was born on November 19, 1962. She is a successful American actress, film director and producer.



She is the daughter of Evelyn 'Brandy' Ella and Lucius Fisher Foster III. Her father was a Lieutenant colonel in Air-force but he later on turned a real estate broker. Her hather who hailed from a wealthy background left his wife before Jodie was born. Her mother who was a film producer supported the family.

Jodie started her on-screen career when she was hardly three years old. At that time she used to work in the commercials. Her first big break in hollywood came when she acted as a preteen prostitute in “Taxi driver” which was a hit movie of 1976. for this role she was also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Some of the other successful movies of Jodie include The Silence of the Lambs, The Accused, Nell, Maverick, Contact, Panic room, Flight Plan etc. Nim's Island was her movie released in 2008.
